Due to popular demand, alumni of Syracuse University’s athletics program will come together for the second CBT Celebrity Classic, a basketball game to be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9 in the Stadium. All proceeds from the game (not included in the CBT ticket price) will benefit the Our Time Has Come Orange Legends Scholarship.
If raising money for student scholarships or seeing who still has skills isn’t enough of a draw, the half-time entertainment should be. All undergraduate NALFO and NPHC chapters are coming together to collectively showcase their stepping and strolling talents in a halftime Unity Stroll. “Instead of competing against one another, all of the fraternities and sororities are coming together to perform for alumni,” says Maria Lopez ’05, G’12, assistant director of scholarship programs in the Office of Multicultural Advancement.
NALFO/NPHC alumni organizations will also have the opportunity to meet on their own during Crew Time on Friday evening, says Lopez (see accompanying story). And after the concert, wear your Greek gear and join the Nupes and the Ques for a 1911 after party celebration.
